Oak Grove Activities
Oak Grove knows every child has different talents, that’s why we have a wide array of programs for students! Be it athletics, fine arts, or travel; our school has plenty of clubs and extracurricular activities for your child to join!
Organizations & Clubs
Board Game Club: Grades 6-12
Board Game Club meets every other week after school in the music room to play a wide variety of board and card games.
Key Club: Grades 9-12
Key Club is an international student-led organization that provides members with various opportunities for volunteer service, character building, and leadership development. The group is divided into three committees that have different core focus areas: the school, the community and the environment. Meetings for Key Club are held during lunch once a month.
Philanthropy and Youth (PaY): Grades 9-12
Students spend time developing their leadership skills, learning about nonprofit organizations in the FM Community, and the importance of philanthropy. Throughout the year, students spend time researching and visiting nonprofit organizations within the community. The final project for PaY allows students the opportunity to grant $5000 to a minimum of five nonprofit organizations of their choice. Meetings for PaY are typically held during lunch 2-3 days each month.
NAHS– National Art Honors Society: Grades 9-12
NAHS’s purpose is to assist student members to attain their highest potential in all forms of art, and to raise awareness of art education throughout the school and community. Members are eligible for several awards and grant programs. Meeting times vary.
Student Council: Grades 9-12
Members of the Student Council serve as ambassadors to school administration. Throughout the year they plan a number of student activities such as dances, game nights, service projects, and much more! Student Council representatives for sophomores, juniors and seniors are elected in the spring of the previous school year along with the Student Body President. Each fall, freshman, new students and international students can run for student council. Student Council meets weekly.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA): Grades 9-12
Students meet once per month for Bible Study, community building, and special events/activities.
Yearbook: Grades 9-12
Students utilize their creativity to assemble the Oak Leaves yearbook. From taking and selecting photos, to organizing and developing each page, students have the chance to create a piece of history for Oak Grove, containing all of the events and memories of the school year. Meetings are held throughout the school year as necessary, but much of the work is done on each students’ respective time and pace.

Robotics is a first hour elective middle school class. Students in the class can participate in Bison Best Robotics Competition

Two sessions meet after school in the fall and spring.
BioGirls: Grades 1-6
Meets weekly on Sundays in the winter and spring
Spanish Club: Grades PreK-5

Travel Opportunities
Mission Trip Experience: Grades 9-12

High school students have the opportunity to take part in mission trip experiences during the school year and in the summer. Past experiences have included trips to Guatemala, Peru, and New Mexico where we support our partner organizations.
Concert Choir/Band Tour: Grades 9-12

Each spring, the Concert Choir embarks on an 8-10 day U.S. tour. The students, as ambassadors for Oak Grove, spread the Mission and Word of God through their music and showcase the incredible vocal arts programs at Oak Grove. The Concert Band tours every other year.
CloseUp: Grades 7-12
The CloseUp Trip to Washington DC is an experience taken in coordination with the CloseUp class. Each spring, Oak Grove students join other students from across the nation for the opportunity to dive deeper into our government and political system and see the sights of DC.
Travel Studies/English Humanities Trip: Grades 9-12
Every other summer, high school students and adults have the opportunity to travel overseas for 2-3 weeks exploring the culture and scenery of a different country. Students who plan to take the trip are required to take a course in conjunction with the travel experience. Past trips have included: Australia and New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, and England, Italy, Greece, and Norway.
